Good intentions matter, but they are not enough. God calls men to be formed by His Word, strengthened by His grace, and ready to lead with conviction in the home, the church, and the world.

What does faithfulness actually look like in gospel mission — and how do you keep going when results are nowhere to be seen? In this sermon from Matthew 10:11–15, Pastor Marty Beamer concludes a three-week series on the sending of the twelve with a clarifying call: God is in charge of the results; we are in charge of being faithful.
Drawing on the story of Moses — whose early mission looked like failure yet was never out of God's hands — Pastor Marty shows how Jesus equips His disciples not with a success strategy, but with a posture of faithful perseverance. The church does not advance the gospel through performance metrics and headcounts, but through obedience, wisdom, and trust.

When establishing His Church, Jesus did not select the elite; He chose the ordinary. In this study of Matthew 10:1–4, we examine the commissioning of the Twelve Apostles—a group of flawed men called to an extraordinary mission.


This message highlights three truths:


God's sovereign plan...
1) is accomplished through flawed people
2) is derived from the authority of Christ
3) is not thwarted by anyone


This sermon serves as a reminder that God does not use the extraordinary to accomplish His plans. He uses ordinary, flawed people. If you are in Christ, you are a vital part of His redemptive work in the world.

In this Palm Sunday sermon from Psalm 118, we are reminded that God is worthy of our praise in every season of life. Even when circumstances feel unstable or discouraging, His steadfast love endures forever and does not change.

Psalm 118 calls God’s people to prepare their hearts for worship by remembering who He is and what He has done. Whether you feel close to God or distant like you are coming out of a long winter, this passage directs us back to truth: our circumstances do not define reality, God does.

In this message, we see five reasons God is worthy of our praise:
• He is our strong helper
• He is our trustworthy helper
• He is our empowering helper
• He is our merciful helper
• He is our gracious helper

All of this finds its fulfillment in Jesus Christ, the King who entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. The crowds cried out from Psalm 118, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord,” pointing to the One who would be rejected, crucified, and raised again to bring salvation.
